In this study we are going to look into the background of Jonathan's covenant with David. As we investigate the details, we uncover the fact that it is important that we first understand the real Biblical connotation behind a covenant. After we learn about the actual Biblical meaning behind a covenant, it becomes clear that Jonathan's covenant with David forms a direct analogy of the relationship between God and mankind!
